Website privacy notice
This notice applies to information submitted through this website. It is intended to provide a clear, general explanation consistent with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). It should be reviewed by the firm before publication as its formal privacy policy.
Information you may provide
When requesting a consultation, you may provide your name, contact details, preferred date and format, the type of legal service required and a brief overview of your matter.
How the current booking form works
The website does not currently send information to or store information in a website database. When you submit the form, your device prepares a WhatsApp message containing the details you entered. You can review that message before choosing whether to send it. WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply to its service.
Why information is used
Information sent to the firm may be used to respond to your enquiry, assess whether the firm can assist, arrange a consultation, conduct appropriate conflict or compliance checks, and communicate about your matter.
Please limit sensitive information
Do not include identity numbers, banking information, detailed medical information or privileged documents in the initial form. Ask the firm for an appropriate way to provide sensitive material.
Security and third parties
Internet communication is never completely risk-free. Information you choose to send through WhatsApp is processed using that third-party service. The embedded Google map and externally hosted fonts may also cause your browser to connect to those providers.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask about personal information held about you and request correction or deletion where appropriate. You may also raise a concern with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Contact
For a privacy enquiry, contact TJM Incorporated by telephone at 013 170 5530 or visit 32 Bell Street, Caltex Building, Ground Floor, Offices 11 & 12, Mbombela Central, 1200.
The firm should add the name and contact details of its Information Officer, its final retention practices and any internal or external service providers before adopting this as its formal POPIA policy.
